The idea of IMDAAD was conceived by Dr. Seema Minhaj and a group of her fellow alumni from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU in June 2020, with a vision to support economically disadvantaged students through vocational training. In 2021, IMDAAD partnered with the Aligarh Education Endowment Fund (AEEF) to extend this mission. Our aim is to assist bright and motivated students who have excelled in their 12th grade but require financial aid to pursue vocational training.

The vocational programs cover a range of fields, with a strong focus on medical and technical sectors. In the medical field, we provide assistance for training in optometry, lab technology, radiology, ultrasound, surgical and anesthesia technology, paramedical training, and physical therapy. Some students have even gone on to pursue higher degrees such as MBBS, dentistry, and engineering. Additionally, we help students interested in fields like CPA, computer science, HVAC technician training, and electrician training.

Our goal is to empower students with education and skills that lead directly to employment upon completion of their courses. This enables them to not only uplift themselves but also support their families, breaking the cycle of poverty.

Throughout their education, we provide mentorship, monitor their progress, and review their academic performance after their first year to help secure scholarships for subsequent years. We also encourage our students to give back by mentoring others in turn.

At IMDAAD, we inspire our students to dream big, and we are committed to helping them turn those dreams into reality!
