In Aligarh, many women—including widows, divorced women, illiterate homemakers, and low-wage laborers—struggle to generate income for their families. Our surveys identified over 360 women in neighborhoods like Shehenshabad, Humdard Nagar, and Patwari ka Nagla facing livelihood challenges.
HUNAR GHAR was established to equip these women with practical vocational skills—tailoring, garment making, embroidery, and machinery handling—enabling them to earn a sustainable income and combat poverty and unemployment.
Our primary beneficiaries are underprivileged women seeking financial independence. Additionally, unskilled female laborers working in applique design, handicrafts, and boutique industries—often underpaid due to lack of skills or financial literacy—also benefit from our programs.
HUNAR GHAR offers the following training programs:
Since its launch in November 2024, HUNAR GHAR has:
AEEF Support: USD 5,000 annually for capital and operational costs.
Economic Empowerment: Women earn Rs. 5,000–10,000 per month through micro-enterprises, tailoring, or garment work, boosting household income.
Entrepreneurship: Training in design, embroidery, and marketing enables women to start boutique studios or garment businesses.
Formal Employment: Graduates often secure jobs in the organized garment sector within 60 days of training.
Social & Psychological Benefits:
HUNAR GHAR, Aligarh, is more than a skill center—it is a hub of transformation. By providing training and vocational opportunities, we empower marginalized women to become skilled professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders, driving sustainable development and breaking cycles of poverty.
