Saiema Mansoor Public School (SMPS), operated by the Noorul Uloom Education Society (NUES), has consistently achieved remarkable results, with 100% success in nine consecutive CBSE Grade XII exams. While the high school performance is outstanding, many of these resource-constrained students are unable to pursue higher education, hindering the fulfillment of NUES's mission of empowering graduates with meaningful employment.
The Government of India estimates an urgent need for 90 million skilled workers across the country. To be classified as skilled labor, a candidate must meet the following three criteria:
Although SMPS graduates meet the first two criteria, they fall short of the third due to the absence of an Industrial Training Center at NUES. To address this gap, Mr. Anilesh Ahuja, a philanthropist from New York, has made a generous donation to establish the much-needed Industrial Training Center. In honor of his late mother, the center has been named the "Sarmishta Ahuja Industrial Training Center" (SAITC).
After the foundation stone was laid by Professor Irfan Habib, construction of SAITC commenced. The center was approved as an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) in 2023, with the first batch of 63 students enrolled for the 2023-2024 academic session. The second batch began in the 2024-2025 session, and current enrollment has reached 136 students. AEEF played a pivotal role in the fundraising efforts for the SAITC project.
